NOW IS ALWAYS the best time to learn new baking and cooking skills! Great for ages 10-99.
Winter Marmalade - January 12, 11-1pm. Let’s make jam! We’ll be making jam from the market. Summer has the most produce, and buying in bulk lets us make the most of it. Save the season before fall comes. You’ll receive receipts for two marmalades and we’ll make a marmalades in class together - Kumquat and Pineapple Satsuma. I will teach you to infuse with natural pectin, utilize herbs, florals and liquors.
Bread Weekend- January 18 and January 19 6-8pm. This two day workshop will go over sourdough wholegrain bread making. We will be using recipes with einkorn, spelt and corn to make a variety of breads. Day one we will build, discuss starter, and flavors/fillings. Day two we will bake and make some spreads to enjoy with our fresh bread.
Fried Pizza - January 25 11-2pm. Making whole grain pizza is a fun and fast dinner. Learn how to make the original pizza - fried hand pizzas! We will cover making wholegrain pizza using sourdough and yeast, form building, proofing, frying to topping. Explore the differences in grains, shaping, sauces and toppings.
Winter Cake - February 1, 2-6pm Make cake and eat it too! I’ll show you how to make a whole grain long skinny layer cake using basic tools and some fairy cakes exploring winter flavors - citrus, meringue, honey, spices, nuts, squash, dates, caramel, chocolate. We’ll also explore some methods of buttercream, go over quick candying and other fillings. We’ll build and decorate together. In depth exploration of edible blooms and piping techniques.
Donut - February 23 11-3pm. Make donuts with me! Learn the secret to delicious, fluffy, melt in your mouth wholegrain donuts. We'll go over hydrating, fats, proofing, cutting, frying and glazing. We'll play with grains and flavor to make dreamy treats. Perfect for celebrating Chanukah and the New Years.

Once you sign up for class you will be emailed a link to a zoom for the livestream. Recipes are sent out 1 week before class. In class, you will be able to participate in a live chat. If you can’t attend no worries, everyone will be emailed the class recording after it is done. Remaining questions will be answered via email. So excited to make magic in the kitchen with you! Minimum of 5 students enrolled in class or class may be rescheduled. Credit given for rescheduled classes to automatic re-enrollment or other classes.
